My friend told me she found a stash of WW frozen dinners in her freezer, Smart Ones I guess. She will be taking salad and one of those for lunch at work. Funny thing is that she said it takes two of those meals to make her feel "full." It isn't "funny-ha-ha"; it's more like "funny, I feel the same way about those dinner."
We've practiced so long stuffing ourselves until we reach "bloated toad" status that I don't think we really have a handle on what "normal" full might be. We've both practiced finding hunger - real hunger, not just head or heart hunger. Not that we haven't been eating in spite of hunger anyway, but we do know what real hunger feels like.
Do we distend our actual stomachs way out of proportion when we've over-eaten for so many years? Have we trained our stomachs to ignore real-full? I wonder. And if that stomach is bigger than normal due to overstuffing, does it shrink back to some version of "normal" or do we need to find our own psychological full?
Ugh so many questions for this early in the day. Still I wonder.
Last night I enjoyed some Ben and Jerry's Cinnamon Bun ice cream. I invited Hugh to take it away from me so I wouldn't eat the whole pint. He was glad to oblige. Talk about sensual eating...raw veggies just don't have that suave mouth appeal Ben and Jerry do...sadly.
Sorry for the quickie. I can't seem to get out the door on time as it is, and I"m running late.
TTFN.

Haha, I am running late but wanted to check in with you. Will write more later. Have a good day!
Ben and Jerry's Cinnamon bun ice cream LALALALALALALA--trying to not think about it, blot it out from my brain LOL. Maybe I'll work on a healthy version with my yogurt maker...
Regarding the Smart Ones dinners and needing two of them. That is not actually wrong probably.
DebraSY mentioned that she knew that 100 calories would hold her for 1 hour. And she only weighs about 147 I think. So someone who weighs more needs more to hold them (think WW points, you get more the more you weigh) When I used to take Lean Cuisines to work, they satisfied me for 2 1/2 to 3 hours, then I was hungry again.
Anyway, I thought that was really interesting the way she figured that out, and have been thinking about it since then.
It took me so long to get a grip on what full really felt like in a normal way after years of binging. I was either overly full or hungry. It's tough to figure out and then frustrating bec you would think its natural to know.
I haven't stopped by in ages - sorry about that!
Hope you had a great New Years! :D

I relate so much with finding real hunger after years of overeating.
